Shefali Jariwala, Star of ‘Kaanta Laga’ Passes Away at 42

Actor and model Shefali Jariwala, widely known for her iconic appearance in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, passed away in Mumbai late Friday night. She was 42.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest Reported

Shefali reportedly suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital by her husband Parag Tyagi and three others. She was declared dead on arrival. Her body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem, and the final cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed.

According to Mumbai Police, they received an alert around 1 AM on Saturday and dispatched a mobile forensic unit to her residence in Golden Rays-Y building, Andheri.

A Defining Face of 2000s Pop Culture

Shefali Jariwala rose to instant fame with the remix hit Kaanta Laga, becoming one of the most iconic pop culture figures of the early 2000s. Her performance left a lasting impression, making her a household name.

She later appeared in popular television reality shows, most notably Bigg Boss 13, where she won hearts for her sincerity, strength, and composed nature.
